Pop Art

Pop Art is the movement in art when artists began to create art with the subject of things that are the iconic in nature such as famous people, advertising, and movies. The British and the American people were responsible for setting off this type of art in the 1950's and 60's.
One of the most notable pop artists was the artist Andy Warhol (1928-1987). One of Andy Warhol's most famous paintings was that of a Campbell's soup can.  Warhol is noted for creating artistic portraits of Marilyn Monroe. Warhol is noted to have mingled with many different subculture circles.

Another notable pop artist was Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997). Lichtenstein loved doing abstract expressionism but later was drawn to pop art in the 60's. He created art using comic strips as the subject. He also was known for creating pop art style reproductions of master painters like Monet. t

 In

1962 the world's first public exhibit of pop art was shown at the Pasadena Art Museum. The works included artists Jim Dine, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Dowd, Phillip Hefferton, Joe Goode, Edward Ruscha, and Wayne Thiebaud.

From all the Art's that exist pop art is one of my Favorites because there is so no rule, no limits there are so many different ways to do it.

Cubism

(late blogcycle)

Cubism was a truly revolutionary style of modern art developed by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braques. It was the first style of abstract art which evolved at the beginning of the 20th century in response to a world that was changing with unprecedented speed. Cubism was an attempt by artists to re-event the tired traditions of Western art which they believed had run their course.     Cubism is a kind of Realism. It is a conceptual approach to realism in art, which aims to depict the world as it is and not as it seems. This was the "idea." For example, pick up any ordinary cup. Chances are the mouth of the cup is round. Close your eyes and imagine the cup. The mouth is round. It is always round - whether you are looking at the cup or remembering the cup.

What Are the Key Characteristics of Cubism?

  • Geometric, a simplification of figures and objects into geometrical components and planes that may or may not add up to the whole figure or object known in the natural world.
  • Approximation of the Fourth Dimension.
  • Conceptual, instead of perceptual, reality.
  • Distortion and deformation of known figures and forms in the natural world.

Murals

A mural is an extremely large work of art, most often a painting, applied to the surface of a wall, ceiling, or floor. It can be one of several different styles, but all are designed to bring beauty to the building, whether inside or out. Many major cities feature murals along freeway sound barriers or underpasses. People might also spot one on the side of a downtown building. Refineries and energy companies sometimes use an outdoor mural to introduce color and brightness and to distract the eye from industrial stacks and machinery. A wall can be painted to resemble worn brick, rich paneled wood.

Murals

           .

Murals are a skillful attempt at illusion. They expand our horizons and have the ability to transport us to another time and place.

FACTS : Murals have largely been inspired by 6 main topics:
a. religion
b. the four season (spring, summer, fall & winter)
c. historical events
d. ages of man
e. politics
f. social issues
As you may know by now Murals are so much more than pretty pictures; they have a much deeper meaning. The artwork in a mural is very well thought out. It is designed to represent a specific community at a specific point in history. It is often designed to make a political and / or social statement. The details in the murals add up to a bigger message. Murals date back to the caveman era. Some eras have been particularly important in certain areas but Many murals have change over time. They may represent a specific time in history but they decay and are repainted and change a little bit
 over time.

Murals are not designed by one person; they get input from a whole community. One person might head the project and one artist might even do all of the work  but designing a mural usually involves
 groups of people.

Its common for people to mix up Murals with Graffiti. The main difference between graffiti and murals is that people who do murals have permission from the property owner to do them.Graffiti artists almost never tag on murals. This is because the murals are part of the community and they respect that. Tagging on murals does happen of course but the social message of murals and their ties to the community tend to prevent this problem from happening constantly.

In concluion, murals are amzaing type of art that represent communities, religon and even hisory.

Animation

Animation is one of the latest and most breakthrough technologies of the
computer applications, it is not only useful in the technological world but animations
have also slowly taken over the entertainment and the other daily aspects of life.
Animations are commonly associated with cartoons, 3 D movies, flip books and even motion pictures.  There are many different types of animation that are used in our
present day world. The three main ones are clay animation, computer animation,
and "plain" animation. All of them have their own distinct uniqueness

Clay animation or claymation is one of many forms of stop motion animation. Each animated piece, either character or background, is "deformable" and is made of , usually Plasticine clay. Each frame, or still picture, is recorded on camera  and then played back in rapid pace. When played back at a frame rate greater than 10–12 frames per second, a  convincing illusion of continuous motion is seen.

Computer animation (or CGI animation) is the art of creating moving images with the use of computers

Plain animation is kind of self explainatory. It is basically simple drawings that are
drawn of paper. This is the original form of animation whereby the animation is created
